Back in the late Seventies, the Bronco left its \”Mustang of the Dirt\” persona behind. The SUV grew into a draft horse in 1978, remaining at its new size until leaving the factory for the last time in 1996.
While a lot of fans still bought the big Bronco in droves, more than a few missed the small pony of the mid-Sixties. Thus, Ford introduced the Bronco II in 1984.
Built upon the newly introduced Ranger pickup platform, the new little pony took the fight to Chevy\’s S-10 Blazer, and Jeep\’s Cherokee until 1990, when it was replaced by the SUV that kicked off America\’s ongoing obsession with all things truck, SUV, and crossover, the Explorer.
Over 30 years later, the spirit of the Bronco II returns from the winds of history in a new form: the Bronco Sport.
What better way, then, to descend from Valhalla than as its ultimate self, the Bronco Sport First Edition.
